Depositing Money

Once you’ve created your MoneyPak secure login, depositing money to an eligible prepaid or bank debit card is simple.

  1. On usa-moneypak.com, log in using the button in the top right corner (if you are on a mobile device, tap the menu icon on the top right of your screen).
  2. Click LOAD CARD to deposit to a saved card, or click “Add money to a new card” to deposit to a new card.
  3. Enter the MoneyPak number (and if adding a new card, enter your prepaid or bank debit card number) and click add money.
  4. After passing the limits and verification checks, the funds on the MoneyPak will be deposited to your card.

MoneyPaks can be used to reload hundreds of prepaid cards and most bank debit cards linked to a checking account. MoneyPaks only work with activated prepaid or bank debit cards. Prepaid cards must be embossed with the cardholder’s name.

After purchase, there is up to a 60-minute delay before your MoneyPak is ready to use. After that, you’re ready to deposit the funds on your MoneyPak to an eligible prepaid or bank debit card. If depositing funds to a prepaid card, the transfer should be instant or near-instant. If depositing funds to a bank debit card, the load time will depend on when your bank posts deposits. In most cases, the funds are available right away.

To verify whether the money has been transferred successfully, check the balance or the transaction history for the prepaid or bank debit card that was loaded.

Requirements for Use

MoneyPak secure login:
The first time you use a MoneyPak, you’ll need to provide some personal information, including your Social Security Number and date of birth, so we can verify your identity.

Mobile verification:
For added security, you must also follow our instructions to verify your mobile device, which will require you to authorize us to send you text messages.

Eligible account:
You’ll need a prepaid or bank debit card that can accept funds from a MoneyPak. Most prepaid cards and bank debit cards accept MoneyPak loads.

MoneyPak only works with activated prepaid or bank debit cards. Prepaid cards must be embossed with the cardholder’s name. Select online accounts, such as TVG and TwinSpires, also accept MoneyPak loads.

Other requirements:
You must have: the ability to use the Internet to access usa-moneypak.com, a mobile phone capable of receiving and sending text messages, and a valid email address. You must also allow us to collect location information from your mobile device.

All users must be 18 years old and a citizen or legal alien residing in the United States or Puerto

MoneyPak cannot be used to reload temporary prepaid cards, which are prepaid cards that have not been registered with the card provider (or where registration was attempted, but the prepaid card provider was unable to verify the cardholder’s identity). Temporary prepaid cards do not have the cardholder’s name embossed on the front of the card.

If you have a new prepaid card without your name on it, you must register it with your prepaid card provider in order to reload your prepaid card with a MoneyPak. Once you get the personalized prepaid card in the mail (usually within two weeks) and activate it, your personalized prepaid card will then be ready to accept MoneyPak reloads as long as the card is issued by a participating prepaid card provider.

MoneyPak Create Account

To use a MoneyPak, you must create a secure login during an easy one-time registration on usa-moneypak.com. To create a secure login, you must provide some personal information, including your mobile phone number, and select a password.

MoneyPak verifies your identity by asking you to upload a photo ID. For this, you will need to take a clear photo if the front and back of your government issued ID. After that, follow the instructions on the website, and proceed until it says that your photo ID was successfully submitted.

MONEYPAK REFUND REQUEST. If your MoneyPak has not been used, you can submit a refund request by providing the information below. Refund checks typically arrive in the mail 1-2 weeks after your request is submitted. The MoneyPak purchase fee may not be refunded.

Important: Green Dot MoneyPaks take 1 hour to activate after your prepaid card purchase has been made. Repeated deposit attempts before the 1-hour MoneyPak activation period will cause your Greendot funds to be locked on your card for up to 24 hours.

  1. Buy a MoneyPak. Check that the debit card to be used accepts MoneyPak.
  2. Create a secure login. First-time users will need to create a Secure Login on usa-moneypak.com.​
  3. Complete the deposit. Enter the MoneyPak number and 16-digit prepaid or bank debit card number to add the funds.

To reload your Walmart MoneyCard with a MoneyPak, create a secure account on MoneyPak's website, follow the prompts to verify your mobile number, then enter your Walmart MoneyCard number.
